Given that, I would've rather seen a much shorter film called simply Rorschach and only really following his story.

Re: Watching the Watchmen

Of course, what brings Watchmen "together" as a graphic novel is Tales of the Black Frieghter and the intertextuality of the Charlton papers, Hollis Mason's tell-all, and Viedt's tabloid advertising. None of the above are translatable into film.

Re: The new Indiana Jones movie is nearly as entertaining as this comic…

I think it's the combo of the hat and the glasses that make him look like the RotLA guy. And you never know...he could have been wearing this under the rain jacket. I can't remember if we see him in the movie without the jacket. Funny sketch though.

:)
Iris

Re: The new Indiana Jones movie is nearly as entertaining as this comic…

I suppose that would be better than being named after the dog. ;-)

Re: The new Indiana Jones movie is nearly as entertaining as this comic…

Would Major Toht's son be known as Minor Toht?

Re: Philosophers

Yeah, I love the wide-eyed wonder of Martin's delivery.

Re: Philosophers

You've heard the Steve Martin bit about this, right? Philosophy major (Martin was one but dropped out, then got an honorary degree somewhere between "The Jerk" and "Father of the Bride") dies and goes to heaven. When he gets there he says, "oh man, in college they told me this was all bullshit!"

Re: Waterboarding

ha, i see what you did there

Re: Sketching on my Nintendo DS

This one: http://www.ndstt.com/english/product_en.htm

Re: Sketching on my Nintendo DS

Very cool, which DS homebrew card did you get?

Re: Metamorphose der Zunge

Forgot to mention: sketched in this sketchbook using those pencils and originally posted here.

Re: Twitter Down WTF BBQ Edition

Forgot to mention: This was drawn with a Faber-Castell TX-FINE Vario L 0.7 mechanical pencil (highly recommended) on a large Moleskine sketchbook.

Re: Waiting

I forgot to note that this comic was drawn on a small Los Angeles Moleskine City Notebook. It comes with a map and other goodies, but the paper is the really thin type, not the thick and hardy Moleskine card-stock like paper we all know and love. I'd recommend against getting a City Notebook if I were you. It was so disappointing, as I'd been looking for it ever since I moved to LA (b/c I wanted to create my own guide to this new city), I just got it last weekend, and I have to say, I'm totally underwhelmed by it.

Re: Waiting

Seesmic video reply from Disqus.
