I think it's the combo of the hat and the glasses that make him look like the RotLA guy. And you never know...he could have been wearing this under the rain jacket. I can't remember if we see him in the movie without the jacket. Funny sketch though.

Forgot to mention: This was drawn with a Faber-Castell TX-FINE Vario L 0.7 mechanical pencil (highly recommended) on a large Moleskine sketchbook.

I forgot to note that this comic was drawn on a small Los Angeles Moleskine City Notebook. It comes with a map and other goodies, but the paper is the really thin type, not the thick and hardy Moleskine card-stock like paper we all know and love. I'd recommend against getting a City Notebook if I were you. It was so disappointing, as I'd been looking for it ever since I moved to LA (b/c I wanted to create my own guide to this new city), I just got it last weekend, and I have to say, I'm totally underwhelmed by it.
